The plan is to make one post for each set that I like to play, showing
- the type of tune
- the key that it's in
- the first few notes of each part (A, B, etc) in standard ABC notation (though to start with, it's a little non-standard, as I'm copy/pasting from my existing notes)
This is a smartphone-optimized site. The aim is that I can sit in a session, and use the site to give me a list of tunes to pick from, and then to remind me how each part of each tune starts.
I might get all flash later on, and put in entire tunes. But for now, I just want to replace my paper cheat-sheet with something a little more discrete and extensible.
The sets I play are basically from Dusty Banjos in Galway, adapted to leave out the tunes that I don't like, or can't get my fingers around. So some of my combinations aren't quite the "usual" ones. But they are ones that people don't seem to mind playing with me.
